About the Cell: The Alternative Dispute Resolution Cell (ADRC) is an academic and research-oriented initiative dedicated to advancing the study and practice of ADR mechanisms within the Indian legal framework. It strives to critically examine existing legal and institutional structures, identify systemic gaps, and propose innovative solutions tailored to the evolving complexities of dispute resolution. The Cell is committed to bridging the limitations of conventional litigation by promoting amicable, efficient, and accessible alternatives such as mediation, arbitration, and conciliation. Through the organization of seminars, training programs, and academic initiatives, the Cell seeks to equip students and legal professionals with the requisite knowledge, analytical skills, and practical tools necessary to foster a culture of amicable dispute settlement and enhance access to justice. By creating a dynamic environment that encourages academic inquiry and professional development, the Cell aims to empower its members to actively contribute to the field of ADR, both nationally and internationally, and to champion a more responsive and inclusive justice delivery system. The Cell will carry out all the necessary activities to achieve the following objectives: Vision and Objectives of the Cell: For the concerns briefed above, following are the main objectives of which this Cell sincerely wants itself to engage and achieve the same: To raise awareness within society regarding the significance and application of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques. To foster and promote academic research on critical themes and emerging issues related to ADR mechanisms. To provide comprehensive training and skill development opportunities for students in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. To facilitate meaningful engagement and collaboration among students, faculty, legal professionals, and stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental entities. To establish partnerships with national and international institutions for conducting workshops, training programmes, and capacity-building initiatives in the area of ADR. To provide a platform and engage students, practitioners and other professional/ experts in ADR Proposed activities to be undertaken: To achieve the above-mentioned objectives the proposed Cell will take following initiatives: 1. Research& Training: to carry out research on functioning of ADR in India. 2. Collaborations: to collaborate with other organizations/institutions/universities in academic and research matters; 3. Conferences/Panel discussions: to conduct panel discussions, roundtables, seminars and conferences; 4. Special Sessions for students: to invite experts from diverse areas especially from Bar, Bench, Law Firms, Government officials, executives of companies, professionals and academicians for conducting special sessions for students. 5.
